What is the Mod. 1 all about?

Any time you train (and yes, that means silly fluff workouts too!), you are subjecting yourself to the S.A.I.D. Principle. S.A.I.D. is an acronym for Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demand and states:

The body will adapt specifically to the demands placed on it

Think about some of the popular routines you read about in magazines or on the internet: They are either filled with lots and lots of cardio and fluff exercises designed for the guys wearing extra small tank tops and canary yellow "All I work is upper body so I have no legs" pants! Or it's some guy claiming that you have to do hundreds or thousands of reps in a row to be a real man. It's ridiculous and these guys get murdered when they come out to my classes or try do follow along with the routines on these CD's. Why? Because my classes are based on High Intensity Interval Training and the exercises demand repeated bursts of strength to be done correctly!

The workouts on these CD's are filled with strength building exercises like Divebomber pushups, pull-ups, Squat Jumps, and plenty more...So, how do you think your body will adapt to a routine that demands repeated bursts of strength? How will it adapt when you try to keep pace as I count out pushups, squats, and abdominal exercises and you try to keep up?
